Our Impact
Our purpose is to provide accessible applied entrepreneurship education and research, focused on sustainable long-term industry growth, countering the prevailing trend of short-term gains and tech-centric scaling.
Our solution is to combine a pre-seed startup fund, a one-year incubation program, and a research lab — all designed specifically for underresourced entrepreneurs. Our model provides funding, long-term support, and evidence-based tools to founders who are often overlooked by traditional startup ecosystems.
The Problem
-
Most incubators and funding organizations prioritize tech-based projects, often overlooking or undervaluing non-tech startups.
This leads to chronic underfunding of entrepreneurs in sectors like services, local production, agriculture, arts, and caregiving — despite these sectors being essential to communities and economies.
-
First-time founders or serial founders with high failure rates are often unprepared for the emotional and psychological toll of building a startup.
Standard programs tend to focus on technical skills and business models, leaving a major gap in mental health support, coaching for emotional resilience, and peer encouragement.
-
Vulnerable or marginalized social groups — such as migrants, retirees, formerly incarcerated individuals, or military veterans — often fall outside the typical founder profile and receive little to no tailored support from incubators.
Their exclusion is rarely intentional, but deeply systemic and overlooked.
-
Most incubation programs are built with experienced or well-networked entrepreneurs in mind.
Newcomers struggle to meet these unspoken expectations, making them less likely to access resources or feel confident participating fully.
